A practical buying guide
There is no useful market-wide price without a defined scope. A one-page DIY site, a managed subscription and a custom multi-page build are different purchases. Here is how to compare them, followed by the exact costs and limits of our own offer.
Start with the model
Ask who plans and writes the content, how many pages are included, what happens after launch and whether you can take the site elsewhere. A cheap headline price can mean a lot of work stays with you.

| Model | You usually take responsibility for | Questions to ask |
|---|---|---|
| Do it yourself | Choosing a platform, writing copy, selecting imagery, setting up pages and checking the finished result. | What is the ongoing platform cost? Can you export the site? What happens when you need help? |
| Managed monthly service | Supplying business facts and approving work; the provider may handle the rest, depending on the contract. | Is there an initial fee or minimum term? Do monthly payments build ownership? What does cancellation leave you with? |
| One-off professional build | Providing accurate business details, reviewing drafts and approving publication. | Are planning, writing, design, changes and launch included? Who owns the finished files? What is care after launch? |
These are buying models, not universal industry price bands. Always compare written scopes and total cost over the period you expect to use the site.
Our published price
The figures below are our offer, not a claimed market average. We want you to be able to do the arithmetic before deciding.
Twelve £25 care payments add £300. Together with the £799 build, that is £1,099 for the build plus twelve paid care months. The date of the first care payment depends on the launch date. Any domain fees or separately scoped work would be additional.
The scope behind the number
A good quote makes the boundary visible. If your project needs something outside the agreed website, settle that before anyone starts extra work.
Page planning and copywriting for up to 30 agreed pages, original visual direction, responsive build, an agreed enquiry route and two consolidated refinement rounds.
Ecommerce, bespoke software, complex integrations and major brand work are scoped separately. Domain costs and third-party services may also be separate.
After the £799 build is paid, the finished website and project files are yours. You may host elsewhere if the monthly service ends. Third-party assets keep their own licence terms.

Use the same questions with every provider, including us. The answers tell you more than a package name.
Check page count, forms, booking, ecommerce and integrations individually.
Find out whether you must supply finished text and images or simply verify the facts.
A first reviewable version is different from an approved live site.
Ask how feedback rounds work and whether comments must be consolidated.
Separate hosting, domain, maintenance, content updates and optional services.
Clarify access and handover before changing an existing website.
Read minimum-term, cancellation and ownership clauses rather than assuming a monthly fee buys the site.
A website can help people understand and contact a business. It cannot by itself guarantee search rankings, enquiries or sales. Treat confident performance promises as a separate claim that needs evidence.
